Our cat sitting story
Reliable Cat Sitting is a family-owned company founded by me, Felipe Levra and my wife, Simone Levra. Both of us are Canadian residents – but we originally come from Brazil. Since we were kids, we’ve been living with and caring for all kinds of pets.
Brazil has a very serious problem with homeless animals. Since 2011, we’ve been fostering and promoting stray cat adoptions in our home country. We calculate that we’ve been personally responsible for finding dozens of homes for them.
Despite all of our best efforts, there are, however, a few of those poor animals that have been adopted by us. In total, we have been proud tutors of 7 cats. All of which immigrated with us from South America. A huge endeavour!
As responsible and attentive owners, we thought of having a business that would embody our commitment to the safety and well being of animals. Something dedicated for cat tutors to feel that a very responsible person is taking care of their furry ones as best as a close relative or a friend. That’s how our business was born.
We are now proud to offer distinguished, on point and affordable cat sitting services for all of the London-ON area.

Felipe - the cat dad
I remember vividly when, back in Brazil, my parents gave me a blue-eyed Siamese. I was in love right and then. Comanche was his name. He was the start of my passion for these amazing creatures. We lived in a country estate, so cat litters appeared from time to time. So of course we had lots of cats. It was when I learned their exquisite behavior: their movements, their sensitivities, their stares, growls, purrs… and, specially, the significance of their do’s and don’ts. I think I made myself a cat specialist!
When adult, my wife hadn’t had cats, just dogs. When a tiny kitten appeared under a car in a rainy parking lot, my wife was enamored just as me. It was the start of a cat family of 7, all named after singers: Lito (Luis Miguel), Cher, Mick (Jagger), Celine (Dion), Bono, Prince and Cindy (Lauper). All rescued and therefore adopted.
When it was time for me to leave Brazil for Canada, people asked me: “but are you going to take them with you?” Not in a single moment I dared to think they wouldn’t come. It’s just like the soldiers. No one gets left behind!
So now we live in London with them. My everyday routine of taking my cats to the vet, cleaning, brushing, buying toys and making they feel loved fall upon me. Of course! At other times, I do cat sitting for my amazing clients.
All in all, I feel rewarded. I love what I do. And I know that my daughters not only have their ever-loving companions, but also I feel happy that my family is complete.
Simone - the cat lady
My relationship with cats curiously came late in my life. I was a bit of a dog person. My aunt and uncle, who raised me, had at one time 9 dogs in their country estate, so I kinda became used to having them around. They were part of the family. It was fun!
When I started dating Felipe, he introduced me to these amazing beings. I could never imagine how elegant, private and interesting they were. The thing that struck me the most was how they demonstrate love. Cats usually show that they care for you in a very unique way. Our relationship with cats evolve over time. It’s unique.
I then became some sort of a cat lady – as demonstrated by this picture haha! Felipe and I share cat caring – and sitting – duties. But I’m happy to say that some of our cats are more attached to me than him, which I think it’s funny.

Our Mission is to establish a trusted relationship, treating each individual animal with utmost care, observing their needs and their particularities. As pet sitters, we will provide attention and love as if they are our own cats.
